Located
in Macher, this is a very large, beautifully
restored Canarian farmhouse just outside the
main resort of Puerto del Carmen. It is set
in extensive grounds and provides superb accommodation
for large groups while being very comfortable
for smaller numbers. It offers a rare opportunity
to stay in a quality Canarian finca full of
character and charm.
 This
recently restored country house maintains its
original characteristics, has some lovely local
antiques and much care has been put into retaining
the workmanship afforded to such a property.
All the rooms have thick walls and high ceilings,
several of them have superb stained glass windows
and beautifully crafted woodwork. There is a
very large living room with comfortable seating
and doors to the terrace. The villa has a separate,
elegant dining hall with a large table and windows
overlooking the pool area. The very spacious
kitchen is well equipped and leads to a large
informal breakfast room with an entire wall
of windows which fold back to make it part of
the exterior overlooking the pool. The villa
has seven spacious bedrooms which share three
bathrooms. There are two bedrooms with double
beds and five bedrooms with twin beds. It is
necessary to walk through one of the twin bedrooms
to access two others making it less private,
this room would be ideal for children. Several
of the bedrooms are large enough to add additional
put-up beds.
The
villa is set in extremely large, beautifully
colourful grounds which boast a selection of
fruit trees for clients’ consumption.
There are extensive sunbathing and dining terraces
which surround the lovely 9m x 4.5m swimming
pool which has roman steps. It is solar heated
with an unusually large number of solar panels.
A big pergola runs the length of the house and
provides welcome shade from the hot sun as do
the mature palm trees on the property.
Located
back from the road to Playa Blanca this villa
is in an ideal position with easy access to
Puerto del Carmen which is a five minute drive.
It is a similar distance to the famous, world
class marina at Puerto Calero with its superb
selection of international restaurants, fishing
trips, Catamaran sailing, yacht charter and
shopping. There is a local Canarian restaurant
and bar within a one minute walk, a Trattoria
and mini supermarket are located about half
a mile away.
For
guests staying for more than seven nights there
is a weekly maid service.
A
